The software has been designed as general software for surveillance cross platforms working concurrently with wireless and wired Internet webcams, Television-boards, capture boards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the same appearance and controls on the local and distant pcs. Customers watch MPEG-4 coded video and have full control of the program via net that surveillance server can be run with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular structure considerably improves reliability because all components proceed as independent software. If one unit freezes, other components keep on working. For instance if the `capture` component fails, `watchdog` starts again it right away that users don`t notice anything because they are watching picture through a `playback` module. The software does `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never appears. The recording can be constant or it can be started by movement, human face recognition, or by timetable. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance computer as well as on distant station via Web interface. The program does simultaneous video playback for event analysis from many webcams at the same time. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
